Abstract: Moisture-absorbing and quick-drying finishing agent F68 was applied to polyamide knitted fabrics. The effects of finishing agent dosage, heat-setting temperature, and heat-setting time on the water drop diffusion time, wicking height, evaporation rate, and hand feel of the finished fabrics were investigated. The optimal process conditions for F68 padding finishing were obtained: finishing agent dosage of 30 g/L, heat-setting temperature of 140-170 ℃, and heat-setting time of 60-90 s. The results showed that the polyamide fabrics finished under these conditions still met the Level I requirements specified in “GB/T 21655.1—2023 Textiles—Evaluation of absorption and quick-drying—Part 1: Method for combination tests” after 30 laundering cycles, demonstrating excellent wash resistance. Furthermore, the antistatic performance of the finished fabrics was significantly improved, and the finishing process had no adverse effect on the original color fastness of the fabrics.
