Abstract: Amid China’s “dual carbon” goals and the drive toward sustainable development, bio-based materials have garnered increasing attention due to their abundant sources and environmental friendliness. Consequently, research on and applications of bio-based microcapsules have been continuously deepened and expanded. This review comprehensively summarizes the preparation techniques of bio-based microcapsules and their applications in the textile industry. It is intended to provide valuable references for the innovative design and application of bio-based microcapsules, thereby facilitating the textile sector’s transition toward green and low-carbon development.
