Abstract: The article examines how fiber type, fabric weave structure, yarn twist, yarn count, and warp and weft density impact the lint resistance of fabrics. The results show that all five factors affect lint adhesion to some extent. Fabrics with better moisture absorption and smooth surface fibers exhibit excellent lint resistance. Weave structures with fewer interlacements and longer floats perform better. Higher yarn twist and reduced hairiness also improve lint resistance. Additionally, finer yarn counts help enhance anti-lint properties. These findings suggest that optimizing fabric at the foundational level, rather than relying on chemical treatments, can effectively reduce lint adhesion, lower production costs, and improve economic efficiency.
