Abstract: Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber has become a key material in knitwear development because of its outstanding properties: exceptional strength, high modulus, superior wear resistance, impact resistance, and lightweight nature. Knitting technology converts UHMWPE fiber into preforms or finished products, preserving its excellent mechanical properties while providing unique structural flexibility and comfort. This paper first reviews development methods for UHMWPE fiber knitted products—specifically through raw materials (filament yarn, staple fiber, functional fiber) and knitting techniques. It then discusses application progress in anti-stab/anti-cut protection, outdoor sports, home textiles, medical applications, and aerospace. Finally, it examines the current market status and future trends for these products. Although UHMWPE fiber knitted product development is still in early stages, ongoing technological innovations and advancements in the textile industry will promote future growth toward intelligent, multifunctional, and environmentally sustainable solutions.
