Development of 3D Textile Reinforcement Technology for High-performance Composites

Abstract: As an advanced form of structural reinforcement in high-performance composites, 3D textile reinforcement, by virtue of the advantages of customizable material properties and near-net shaping of complex components, shows broad application prospects in high-tech fields such as aerospace and transportation energy. The paper reviews the research progress in the structural design of 3D textile reinforcement, the structure-effect relationship of high-performance textile composites, and the manufacturing processes for complex component reinforcement. It also lists typical applications of 3D textile composites in aerospace and identifies key challenges that need to be addressed in the engineering use of these materials.
