Abstract: For the fiber characteristics of bio-based PLA/PHBV fiber, the technical difficulties and spinning process of bio-based PLA/PHBV fibers are discussed. Experience has shown that by optimizing the spinning process, carding components, process speed, and parameters, and by adopting a configuration that includes a short process, flexible combing, thorough removal of impurities, rapid transfer, reverse drawing, high pressure, tight aggregation, and a high twist coefficient, the challenges associated with high brittleness,low breaking strength, difficult carding, and low frictional holding force can be addressed. 9.84 tex biobased PLA/PHBV compact-siro spinning yarns can be produced. Considering the fabric organization design and the differences in dyeing properties of bio-based PLA/PHBV fibers, a jacquard fabric with rich layers and a strong sense of texture was developed, achieving the expected antibacterial and deodorizing effects. Studies indicate that bio-based PLA/PHBV fiber yarn exhibits excellent physical properties and significant antibacterial and deodorant capabilities, which have great potential in developing specific green, low-carbon, safe, and healthy functional textiles.
