Development Practice and Application of Green High-stretch Double Filament Core-spun Yarn

Abstract: To meet the market demand for green development, this paper discusses the development and production practices of Lycra® spandex/T400 core-spun yarn wrapped in Lenzing™ lyocell. It introduces the performance characteristics of the raw materials, the entire spinning process, and the composite method of filament and staple yarn. The paper outlines the main process parameters and control points for each stage: attention should be paid to the opening during the blowing process to reduce lap bumps; quality pre-control should be enforced during the carding process by monitoring the state of the card sliver web; setting the dosing and twisting coefficients is crucial in the roving process to prevent draft wave generation; parameter optimization in product development during spinning is suggested, along with the control points for fly defects and core yarn loss; in the winding process, process optimization for splicing and yarn clearing is provided. The green high-elastic double-core yarn is applied to SupF!T fabrics, which possess high elasticity, high recovery, wrinkle resistance, and good dimensional stability.
