Abstract: The paper discusses the development of cotton/modal/cashmere denim from yarn preparation, weaving, and finishing processes. A comparative analysis is conducted to assess the strength, elasticity, and dimensional stability of cotton/modal/cashmere elastic denim against that of cotton/modal denim. The findings demonstrate that the finished cashmere denim, featuring a 3/1 right twill structure, 64.5 tex modal/cotton blended slubby yarn in the warp and 16S+70 D cotton/cashmere blended spandex core-spun yarn in the weft, shows exceptional elasticity, dimensional stability, and a soft and comfortable texture. These characteristics fulfill the requirements for denim processing and successfully achieve the intended effect.
