Abstract: Using kapok/ES fiber as raw materials, the upper dry-laid nonwovens were prepared by dry laying, pre needling and hot air process. In addition, the one-factor-at-a-time (OFAAT) experiment was designed to prepare the lower wet-laid nonwovens by taking wood pulp/viscose as its raw material, and beating time, beating concentration and beating temperature as its variables. In doing so, the paper carried out research on the influence of various variables on freeness and wetlaid uniformity. Dry-wet composite spunlaced absorbent surface layer was prepared by an optimized beating process. And the influence of spunlaced passage heads and spunlaced pressure on the liquid penetration, reverse osmosis and wear resistance of the composite were studied. The results show that when the beating time is 8 min, the beating concentration is 3.3g/mL and the freeness is 16.4 SR, the uniformity of the material performs better. And the beating temperature has no obvious effect on the freeness. The liquid penetration time of dry-wet composite spunlaced material is 2.9-4.2 s, and the reverse osmosis is 0.03-0.11 g. There is almost no mass loss after the wear resistance test.
