R&D of Flame Retardant Fabric of Colored Glass Fiber and Improvement of Its Weaving Process

2022年7月25日

Abstract: At present, glass fibers are mostly used in the interior of building materials in the form of composite materials, which require less for their appearance. To broaden their application fields, 12 glass fiber yarn-dyed fabrics were developed, showing different weave patterns of different warp and weft yarn colors and structures. These fabrics can be used as blinds, curtains, etc., providing aesthetics and safety. However, there were problems such as fuzzing and broken ends, and imperfect selvage during the trial weaving process. The situation of fuzzing and broken ends became more serious with the increase in harness numbers. After adjusting the set factors and fabric specifications, the weaving efficiency of these 12 fabrics has reached more than 95%, and the problem of improper selvage has been tackled, which provides a reference for the development of complex and compact glass fiber yarn-dyed fabrics.
