Research on Removal of Trace of Dimethylsiloxane from Textile Silicone Oil Based on Aspen Plus Simulation

Abstract: Silicone polymers for textile use are generally prepared by ring-opening polymerization and equilibrium reaction of dimethylsiloxane rings. However, due to the physiological toxicity of monomers, the content of monomers in polymers is restricted by foreign laws and regulations. In this paper, the vaporliquid equilibrium data of dimethylsiloxane rings are analyzed via Aspen Plus simulation. On basis of that, a model for removing trace of dimethylsiloxane rings from silicone oil was established. The simulation results show that 50 Pa(A) and 130 ℃ are the appropriate process parameters. The experimental data show that the total heat transfer coefficient of the film evaporator is about 0.05 kW/(m2?℃).
