Abstract: In order to improve ultraviolet resistance of conventional cotton fabrics and develop excellent UV resistant cotton fabrics, the paper summarized the research status of traditional water-based antiultraviolet functional finishing such as atmospheric exhaustion method, pad finishing, and foam finishing, as well as the research progress of new UV resistant finishing, such as supercritical CO2 fluid function finishing, sol-gel method, in-situ growth, layer-by-layer self-assembly, and looked forward to the development trend of UV resistant cotton fabrics.
