Abstract: With the help of CAD software, seamless knitting technology, one of the cutting-edge technologies in the knitting field with scalable characteristics, can carry out mass production at a lower cost. Based on the multi-needle bed computerized flat knitting machine, the seamless weft knitting technology can quickly produce the knitted products without the subsequent processes such as looping, which meets the enterprises’ needs to reduce the amount of labor and realize automatic production. In addition, it can also customize knitted fabrics or clothing in mass production, so as to minimize the waste of raw materials. Therefore, as a supporting technology of “sustainable intelligent knitting”, seamless weft knitting technology has great potential, which can be applied to intelligent manufacturing of knitted products and unmanned knitting factories. From this, seamless weft knitting technology is a frontier research field to realize flexible intelligent production and information integration of knitting enterprises.
