Abstract: Large-quantity waste textiles from various sectors face problems such as difficulty in recycling and cleaning, and low added value of reuse. The paper focuses on the decolorization/dissolution mechanism in the recycling process of waste cotton textiles and related research results in China and abroad, which provide a theoretical basis for the scientific research and industrial utilization of waste textiles. And the paper puts forward that it is necessary to further strengthen the research and technological innovation of waste textile recycling, focuses on the development of high-value recycling technology of waste textiles, reduce environmental pollution, and finally realize the systematic and scientific recycling of waste textiles.
