Abstract: As a high-end, high value-added product, nonwoven ultra-fine fiber suedette is usually used in car seat covers. However, its superfine fiber structure and strong absorptivity make it difficult to take care of, especially for liquid contaminants. In order to improve its stain resistance, this paper takes suedette of a certain model car seat as an example to study related functional finishing technology. The Martindale method was used for the change of stain resistance performance after the abrasion resistance test. Results showed that after the abrasion resistance test at 2 500 r, the stain resistance of suedette for milk, cola, coffee, and soy sauce was maintained above level 4. However, after the abrasion resistance test at 5 000 r, the suedette only maintained the stain resistance above level 4 for milk and cola, and for coffee and soy sauce, it has no stain resistance effect.
