Abstract: In Dressings are indispensable in the field of wound treatment as medical textiles that temporarily alternate the skin barrier capability. Although conventional textile dressings are cheap and widely used, they have obvious shortcomings such as no effective anti-infection function, dryness, and easy adhesion to the wound, which are not conducive to the anti-infection of the wound and the absorption of wound exudate. To solve this problem, N,N-dimethyl-N-(3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl)dodecane-1-amine chloride (CDMA) was grafted onto cotton fabric to empower its antibacterial properties. Sodium acrylate/modified polyhexamethyleneguanidine hydrochloride (M-PHMG) solution was used to impregnate the fabric and initiate gelation to prepare a hydrogel-based cotton dressing. After tested and analyzed the surface morphology, composition, mechanical properties, liquid absorption performance, and antibacterial performance before and after the immersion treatment, the results indicated that this cotton dressing has a good liquid absorption effect and excellent antibacterial properties.
