Abstract: In order to study the influence of fabric weave on color change effect of thermochromic fabrics.Five kinds of woven fabrics with different weave were designed and woven, of which the warp yarn is cotton yarn and the weft yarn is thermochromic viscose filament. And their color space value, tristimulus value,chroma, and whiteness were tested before and after color change, and the influence and significance of fabric weave and weft density on the color change effect were analyzed. Results showed that the fabric weave has a significant effect on the brightness, chroma, and reddishness of the fabric, but has no significant effect on the whiteness. The lightness and whiteness of plain weave fabric are the highest, and chroma and reddishness of satin weave fabric are the highest. The weft density of the fabric has a significant effect on the brightness,rather than the chroma, whiteness, and the degree of reddish hue. With the increase of the weft density, the reddish degree of the fabric shows an increasing trend. The research results have a certain reference value for the design and development of thermosensitive fabrics.
