Abstract: Faced with the depletion of global petroleum energy and the improvement of people’s awareness of environmental protection, the development of clean and renewable bio-based polyamides from biomass raw materials has become a hot spot in the research and development of the global chemical industry and related industries. This paper reviews the classification and synthetic routes of bio-based polyamides, and introduces the production process, properties, fiber forming and application status of biobased PA56.
