Abstract: In order to carry out product design and development of the weft-knitted jacquard shoe upper, the paper expounded the research status and market status of the weft-knitted jacquard shoe upper firstly, indicating that it has important research value and good development prospect. And then, the paper carried out comprehensive studies on the characteristics of the production equipment and knitting technology, and set several examples of common equipment types. The development principle of weft-knitted jacquard shoe upper was studied in five aspects, i.e., raw material selection, version & partition design, organization design, and stabilized finishing. In the end, the paper introduced the production process of a weft-knitted jacquard shoe upper, and concluded the development trend of the weft-knitted jacquard shoe upper from the perspective of functionalization, intelligentization, fashion and customization.
