Feasibility Study on Flexible Design of Cooling Conditions Based on Spinning Dynamics Simulation

Abstract: In order to prove the feasibility of the flexible design of the melt spinning cooling system, based on the basic principle of polymer melt spinning, the kinetic model of polyester fiber formation was established, and the numerical simulation of the fiber blowing cooling process was carried out to study the effect of slow cooling conditions on the spinning kinetics of polyester melt spinning. By analyzing the distribution of fiber diameter, velocity, velocity gradient, temperature, stress and birefringence on the spinning process, the sheath-core structure and tensile flow orientation of the fiber were further discussed, and the changes of slow cooling conditions were clarified. The influence of the flexible design of the cooling conditions indicates the feasibility of the flexible design of the cooling conditions, and provides a sufficient theoretical basis for it. It has certain guiding significance for the setting of spinning process parameters and the prediction of fiber structure and performance.
