Abstract: In order to explore the screening method of the prior controlled heavy metal pollutants in the textile industry, the paper comprehensively used quantitative analysis and toxicity analysis to rank the environmental loads caused by heavy metal pollutants emitted by the textile industry from 2001 to 2015, and compared the ranking results by Spearman correlation coefficient method and deviation value method. Results indicated that the environmental load ranking results based on quality indicators and toxicity indicators of heavy metal pollutants were not consistent. Arsenic, mercury and cadmium are pollutants with low emission and high toxic environmental load. Among them, arsenic and mercury can cause a severe human toxic load, and cadmium can cause a large ecological toxic load. These three types of heavy metal pollutants should be focused on and be prioritized to control, so as to reduce the environmental impact of heavy metal pollutants emitted by the textile industry.
