Development Status of Chinese Independent Designer Brands

Abstract: In order to explore the development status of new generation of Chinese independent designer brands, the paper took the Chinese independent designer brands created during 2000-2017 period as the research objects, carried out a comprehensive research on 100 representative Chinese independent designers of the new generation and their fashion brands through interviewing designers, participating in fashion weeks, investigating multi-brand store and exclusive shop as well as multi-platform fashion media reports, analyzed the development status, brand feature and distribution of Chinese independent designer brands, and put forward a countermeasure for the development dilemma encountered by Chinese independent designer brands in the current stage.
