Abstract: The paper carried out a comprehensive research on the influence of the sizing formula and the sizing process of PVA size and polyacrylamide size on the sizing quality and the weaving effect, and analyzed related sizing cost. Results showed that polyacrylamide size could displace PVA size in cotton sizing with better sizing quality. The warp breaking frequency of the loom could be lowered, the weaving efficiency could be improved, and the sizing cost could be reduced.
