Abstract: This paper compares and analyzes the basic performance and mechanical property of Yilon^TM, polyester fiber and cotton fiber, and analyzed the Yilon^TM/cotton (65/35) blended yarn property produced by different spinning technology with same yarn count, including ring spinning, siro-spun spinning and sirocompact-spun spinning. 20.8 tex Yilon^TM/cotton(65/35)blended yarn was spun by siro-compact-spun spinning technology. And then after knitting, dyeing and finishing as well as anti-bacteria treatment, a new-type weftknitted fabric was developed. And the fabric properties, i.e., flexibility, moisture-absorbent and quick-drying, water shrinkage, anti-pilling, color fastness, were tested. Results indicated that this weft-knitted fabric has soft handle, excellent moisture-absorbent and quick-drying properties, good color fastness and anti-bacteria function.
