Abstract: Silver-loading carbon nanotubes antimicrobial agent can be prepared in the process of ion exchange, with multi-walled nanotubes (MWNTs) as the carrier and AgNO3 solution the reaction solution. Then antibacterial masterbatch for PET fiber was prepared by using the antibacterial agent as filler. The results show that the crystal structure of MWNTs is destroyed to some extent after the oxidation of nitric acid, and perssads such as —COOH are introduced to the surface of MWNTs; the structure of MWNTs does not change after adsorbing silver ion; and the Ag/MWNTs antibacterial agent has good slow-release properties and antibacterial properties. The Ag/MWNTs in the PET remain a monodisperse state, and they have good physical compatibility with PET interface. The Ag/MWNTs/PET antibacterial functional masterbatch has good antibacterial properties.
