Abstract: Based on process requirements on cheese packing, a timer-based photoelectric detection method is proposed for detecting the attitude of both cheese head and cheese bottom; then, based on the attitude detection results, a cheese turning-over system is designed, which can be used for adjusting the attitude of cheese head and cheese bottom; further, based on the turning-over action flow, and with the help of Step 7 software for Siemens S7-300 PLC, the control program of the turning-over system is analyzed and developed by using sequential function chart. After simulation analysis of the turning-over mechanism and commissioning test run of the entire system, it draws the conclusion that the action of the turning-over system fulfills requirement and the system has good application prospects.
