Abstract: The paper introduced a process of recycling PET fiber from waste polyester fabric. Polyesterbased textile wastes were used as raw materials. The preparation of recycled PET fiber was based on optimizing the bottle flake spinning process, where a devolatilization device with free falling-disc film forming reactor was used to improve the intrinsic viscosity and quality of the recycled PET. By adjusting the filtering area and accuracy of the combined filters, transforming the structure of the free falling-disc film forming reactor and optimizing the spinning and after-treatment processes, high-quality recycled PET staple fiber to be used as filler was prepared, which has reference significance for the recycling of postconsumer PET fabric.
