Abstract: The increasing amount of waste cotton textiles has not only increased environmental pressure,but also led to a waste of resources. Cotton, as a cellulose fiber with high carbon content, has broad prospects of recycling. Phosphoric acid treatment, which is featured by low consumption, environmentalfriendly and energy-saving, is an effective way for recycling cotton fibers. Based on discussing the potential applications of recycled waste cotton fibers, this paper introduces the application of phosphoric acid in the area of waste fiber recycling.
