Abstract: The paper first introduces briefly the characteristics and requirements of medical & hygiene nonwovens, and then discusses the development in this field in terms of fiber structure, spinning process, web bonding, finishing, combination of spinning systems, etc. Based on analyzing the performance and applications of production equipment for medical & hygiene nonwovens available both at home and abroad, it draws the conclusion that SS, SSS and SSMMS production lines are currently the most widely adopted production lines. It provides certain reference to Chinese nonwoven producers in selecting production equipment.
