Abstract: In this experiment, a new environment-friendly gelatin fiber was prepared by adding transglutaminase (TGase) into gelatin spinning dope. The article studied the influence of the loading of TGase on the gelatin spinning dope and the fiber. The result of FTIR showed that TGase reacted with the amino of gelatin molecule to form a cross-linked polymer. The result of rheological test showed that the viscosity of the gelatin spinning dope significantly increased after adding TGase. The result of SEM showed that TGase made the structure of gelatin fiber more compact. The result of thermogravimetric analysis showed that the thermal stability of the gelatin dope improved after adding TGase.
