Abstract: To meet the requirements for high-speed spindle, the paper, based on computer vision technology, presents a new method for measuring the vibration locus of the head of individual-motor-driven spindle and related key techniques. The new method described in this paper uses high-speed camera to capture the motion trail of the spindle head in operation, and then obtain the center and the vibration locus of the spindle by using image processing technology and data fitting technologies. Compared with conventional method, the new method not only has better ability to adapt the circumstance, but also can measure the vibration locus of loaded spindle.
