Abstract: Over the past few years, profound changes have taken place in traditional spinning industry, which are mainly reflected in the achievements made in making spinning machinery more automatic, continuous, intelligent, high-speed/high efficiency and energy-saving as well as in the upgrading of product quality and diversification of product variety. Automation has been widely introduced to spinning process and equipment and the step of “replacing man with machine” has quickened. Using continuous spinning technology and shortening spinning process are also important measures for realizing “replacing man with machine” and labor saving. The use of intelligent technologies has promoted traditional spinning production to develop towards on-line monitoring. The development of science and technology, especially the expanded application of intelligent technologies and the progress of technologies for manufacturing key parts for textile machinery have created favorable condition for realizing high-speed operation of spinning equipment.
