Abstract: In this paper, polystyrene (PS) dissolved in dichloromethane (DCM) was used as spinning solution to prepare the polystyrene nanofiberous membranes by solution blow spinning with a commercialized airbrush, and the effects of spinning solution concentration, air pressure and spinning distance on the fiber diameter and porosity were investigated. The experimental results show that the diameters of the nanofiberous membranes prepared via solution blow spinning was 200 to 1600 nm, and the fiber diameter increased with the increase of solution concentration and spinning distance. It was found through orthogonal experiment that the effect of different conditions on fiber diameter can be put into the following order: solution concentration>gas pressure>distance.
