Abstract: In order to overcome the problem that the bacterial content of domestic and industrial water is not up to standard, a hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC)-polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) composite aerogel was prepared by using HEC and nano silver solution as raw materials and PVP as protective agent. The antibacterial properties and preparation process of the HEC-PVP composite were researched. The results indicate that the prepared HEC-PVP aerogel has excellent structural stability, mechanical properties and antibacterial properties.
