Abstract: With the fast development and wide application of electronic information technology, microcapsule technology and nanotechnology, great progress has been made in the R&D of smart fibers and a collection of new smart safety clothes have emerged, which have effectively satisfied consumers’ need for smart safety wear. The paper discusses the practical use of smart fibers in the designing process of smart safety wear and anticipates the future prospects.
