Abstract: This paper expounds the significance and status-quo of the research relating to yarn tension, classifies the existing various yarn tension compensation devices and introduces their characteristics by laying stress on the principle of warp knitting yarn tension compensation device and some problems in current applications. And according to the current situation and developing trend of textile industry, it sums up the future breakthrough points of warp tension compensation device technology development. In the future, in order to achieve better compensation performance, developing digital, positive compensating and combined warp tension compensation device is an inevitable trend.
