Abstract: The article introduces in details the weft-knitting CAD technologies available at home and abroad, including the weft-knitting CAD systems developed by foreign companies such as Mayer & Cie, Santoni,Fukuhara, etc., as well as those developed by domestic enterprises and textile colleges. The characteristics and technical progress of all kinds of CAD systems are described in details. At the same time fabric design, fabric simulation and virtual display of weft-knitting CAD system are introduced. It also forecasts the future developing trend of weft-knitting CAD technique towards standardization, Internet-based and intelligent.
