Abstract: This paper discusses the different effects of three design elements on the diversified pattern designs of elderly women’s garment. By making rational use of the three design elements, one can unite aesthetics and functions in the pattern design of elderly women’s garment; and by correcting the expression of dart in patterns according to body shape of elderly people, the pattern design for elderly women’s garment can be improved in both technological and aesthetical terms.
