Abstract: In recent years, the research on intelligent fibers has achieved many results at home and abroad,and it is widely used in textiles and clothing industry. Therefore, this paper summarizes the main properties and research status of 5 kinds of intelligent fibers, include phase change fiber, shape-memory fiber, intelligent gel fiber, light-guide fiber and electronic fiber，and introduces their application in textiles. Moreover, it forecasts the development prospects of intelligent fibers and textiles, and points out development direction in 3 aspects of performance optimization, green and safety, industrialization.
