Abstract: Modifying an existing polyester staple production line into a flexible line and making it capable of producing both solid polyester staple fiber and hollow fiber will not only extend product range, but also reduce investment cost, offering another option for fiber producers to cope with the fast-changing chemical fiber market. This paper aims at providing a feasible technological basis for the modification of existing production lines.
