Abstract: It is an inevitable trend for the knitting industry to realize transformation and upgrading, while advanced knitting equipment play important part in this process. This paper analyzes advanced manufacturing-oriented knitting equipment and technology from three aspects, i.e. intelligent knitting equipment, networked knitting equipment and continuous knitting production. Intelligent knitting equipment can realize intelligent control of single machine, network knitting equipment can achieve group control of multiple machines, while continuous knitting production can connect different knitting processes into an intelligent production line. Finally, this paper points out that future knitting equipment should play emphasis on the innovation and development in terms of “point, group and line”.
