Abstract: In recent years, the carbon fiber industry has shown rapid growth driven by favorable policies and market demand. The paper introduced the operation of the domestic and foreign carbon fiber industry and the current status of relevant applications. Furthermore, the paper analyzes the new progress of carbon fiber filament and pre-oxidation/carbonization technology, summarizes the challenges and development opportunities faced by the carbon fiber industry, and puts forward corresponding suggestions from the policy, talent, technology, industry, and market.
