Abstract: To analyze the greenhouse gas emissions of cotton fabrics in the production and processing and to evaluate the carbon footprint of cotton fabrics from cradle to gate, this paper introduces the evaluation standards, the evaluation scope, the quantitative method, the information disclosure and the calculation examples in terms of the carbon footprint of cotton fabrics. In doing so, it helps to identify the main sectors of greenhouse gas emissions in the production and processing of cotton fabric so as to help textile enterprises achieve energy saving and emission reduction and promote the sustainable development of the textile industry.
