Abstract: Due to the high count and strong stiffness of hemp yarn with a count of 30S or above, it is difficult to produce due to the thread in hank and the brittle fracture during warping, sizing, and weaving. Taking 35S high-count hemp yarn as an example, the paper carries out comparative experiments to optimize the processes. By increasing the warping tension, using waxing after sizing, and sizing by slurry with low concentration and low viscosity, the thread in hank and the brittle fracture during warping and sizing have been solved effectively, and the large-scale weaving production of high-count hemp yarn has been achieved.
