Abstract: The paper focuses on waterproof and moisture-permeable outdoor sports products, taking waterresistant garments, the typical category, as an example. Based on the comparative analysis of the old and new versions of the standard “Outdoor sportswear — Water-resistant garment”, the paper concludes by discussing the moisture permeability mechanism of waterproof and moisture-permeable films, as well as the commonly used types of films. Then the characteristics of waterproof and moisture-permeable outdoor sports products are analyzed with product cases, and the future trend of outdoor water-resistant garments is outlined.
