Abstract: By examining the impact of cold pad-batch pretreatment, alkali refining, and various bleaching methods on the formaldehyde content, wicking height, whiteness, and microfiber resin crosslink density of TencelTM lyocell A100/cotton blended fabrics, the study concluded the most effective pretreatment process for this fabric blend. When the NaOH concentration in the cold pad-batch pretreatment is 15 g/L and in the high-temperature scouring is 20 g/L within 10 minutes, the microfiber resin crosslink density of TencelTM lyocell A100 can be maintained at over 96%. The formaldehyde content is 99.7 mg/kg, and the capillary effect is 74 mm within 5 minutes. Bleaching fabrics are prioritized using acidic sodium chlorite, which can effectively reduce the formaldehyde produced during scouring. And it does not impact the microfiber resin crosslink density of TencelTM lyocell A100, meeting the requirements for subsequent printing and dyeing processes.
