Abstract: Stab-resistant clothing can resist attacks from sharp instruments like knives, protecting the human body. China’s GA 68-2019 standard for “Police stab-resistant armor” demands stab-proof clothing with features such as stab protection, flexibility, and lightweight design. This paper discusses the research progress of four types of textile-based stab-resistant materials. Their ability to resist stabbing is achieved through highperformance fiber and a multi-layer composite structure, coated with hard particles, combined with shear thickening fluid, and combined with a hard resin block. The paper concluded that textile-based stab-resistant materials still face challenges in balancing stab resistance, lightweight, and flexibility. Pure textile stabresistant fabric is too thick; the coating of hard particles increases the weight of the material; the addition of shear thickening fluid affects the breathability and comfort; and the effect of composite resin in terms of resin material, morphology and size, and its void ratio on the material, needs to be further investigated.
