Abstract: Conductive yarns were prepared by coating a conductive layer of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) on functional viscose/wool blended yarn after pre-treating with sodium hydroxide solution. The morphology,structure, and properties of CNTs coated functional viscose/wool blended yarn were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and digital multimeter. The research results indicate that in mint-modified viscose/wool blended yarn and wormwood-modified viscose/wool blended yarn, the loading of CNTs on the yarn surface increased with the decrease of the wool blending ratio, and the yarn resistance value became smaller with better electrical conductivity.
