Innovative Design of Home Textiles Fabrics Based on the Combination of Printing and Embroidery

Abstract: Aiming at the problems of the single embroidery category and low acceptance of young consumers in the home textiles market, the combination of printing and embroidery and pattern innovation design is carried out. Through on-the-spot investigation and online investigation, it is found that the category of embroidered home textiles is few, and the patterns lack innovation. Through the investigation, the best pattern design is established by integrating consumers’ favorite themes such as mountains and rivers, plants and flowers, geometric figures, and graffiti. By combining cotton cloth and canvas with mesh respectively, the most suitable process parameters of home textiles are determined through comparing the effect of different processes orders and fabrics layers arrangement, including printing after embroidery, embroidery after printing, arranging embroidered fabric under the printed fabric, arranging printed fabric under the embroidered fabric. In doing so, realize the diversification and rejuvenation of embroidered home textiles fabrics.
