Abstract: Stereo complex can increase the melting point of PLA by about 50 ℃ to prepare a heat-resistant stereo-complexed polylactide (ScPLA) fiber. On the basis of that, the paper summarized the progress in the preparation of ScPLA fiber by solution spinning, electrospinning and melt spinning, and analyzed the characteristics and forming factors of stereo-complexed structure of PLA. Current studies showed that the full mixing of PLLA and PDLA macromolecular chains and shortening the time of heat setting to form stereo-complexed crystals are the key factors for the industrial production of ScPLA fibers. The preparation of ScPLA fiber by melt spinning has the potential for industrialization. However, it is still necessary to explore the methods to realize the above two key f actors.
